For Year 4 we went to the Motor City where this Pizza Actually gets its name from! Detroit-style pizza is a thick, rectangular pizza known for its light, airy crust with a crispy, caramelized edge. It’s baked in a deep, well-oiled steel pan—originally inspired by automotive parts trays—giving it a golden, fried bottom. The cheese, traditionally Wisconsin brick cheese, is spread to the very edges so it melts and forms that signature crunchy border. Unlike most pizzas, the sauce is ladled on top of the cheese and toppings rather than underneath, often in rich, red stripes. The result is a hearty, flavorful pizza that’s both gooey and crisp, with a uniquely satisfying texture. We dominated these 8 Pizza Joints and have ranked them from best to worst based on group average! This was a great review and, held on Halloween!
